Easy walk. Have to cross water in the beginning, it rained yesterday- glad I was waterproof. Very pretty.

The path is very good. Scenic too. The wooden path ends after 2-3kms. but the trail still goes on after that. It’s a very nice walk. Go in early — tons of trails to go on after you finish this one.

More of a walking path but absolutely wonderful introduction into nature. Try to visit during off peak times.

Gorgeous autumn scenery along this trail today! It was cloudy and drizzle all day. The wet foliage colors popped along this boardwalk. First time visiting this trail. Definitely a bucket lister.

Really easy trail that gets a different perspective of the park since it’s more a meadow. We saw 3 deer on this hike. Really cool to compare this scenery to others in the park.

We hiked this route in the early evening. The highlight of this easy hike was the boardwalk in the Jesup Path where we saw a pair of owls.

Whenever I am on this trail, I usually see deer, as well as owls, plus I have heard what sounded like a coyote. To me the best time to walk this trail is during the evening hours mainly because it is usually less crowded at that time. During the fall is another favorite time, because of the trees turning into the autumn colors.

Easy casual stroll. Did this after a strenuous hike in the morning.

Hadn’t planned on hiking this, but since it led back to where I parked ... was definitely better than walking on the Loop Road shoulder.

Easy trial behind Wild Gardens of Acadia. The day we went (around 10am on a fall day), there was construction which greatly reduced parking & restrooms were closed. Standing at the nature center, a chipmunk came up and posed for us, then scurried off. Encountered family with noisy toddler on the broad walk, ruining the peace and quiet. Continued on after the boardwalk ended around Great Meadow, a short distance on the edge of the Park Loop Road where we picked up Hemlock Trail, As we saw a lady with a dog walking towards us, three deer leapt out of the meadow only a few feet in front of us! Simply stunning. What a gift for the quiet respectful hiker. The lady who lived locally said it happens all the time & sometimes they run into walkers. Her dog didn't bark at the deer. We continued on another connecting trail through some tall dense trees and left as a group of noisy children entered.

Nice, easy, flat dog friendly trail suitable for all ages and levels. Heavily forested (so no views here), but lots of birds and a lovely long boardwalk. We parked at north end in a pull-out and did the hike from there, but either end is fine. Lots of side-trail possibilities too ranging from easy to steep. It's a lovely little stroll through the woods!

Great easy hike. Perfect with our 10 month old in a stroller. I'd recommend a jogging stroller with larger tires though.

A very easy walk through woods, wetlands and a field. You can use this trail to access the Great Meadow Trail (heading north) or the Kane Path to the Tarn (heading south). The trail heading north from the Sieur de Monts Spring Nature Center has several foot bridges and a boardwalk. Use the Sieur de Monts Spring Parking area for access to the Jesup Trail. There are bathrooms at the Sieur de Monts Spring Parking area. Get there early. This is a popular area and there are several other trails accessible from this parking lot.

This trail is right near the Wild Gardens. I went with several birders along here. In August, we saw Hermit thrush, Black-capped chickadees, Red-eyed vireos, American redstart, Broad-winged hawk and Belted kingfisher. It's a very easy trail.

Great with dogs. Completely flat and mostly shaded. Couple side hike options that are challenging but fun if you have an agile dog.

The Jesup path is a short trail running between the one way section of the Park Loop road to Sieur de Monts Spring and the Wild Gardens of Acadia National Park. Most people who hike it begin by the Wild Gardens. To reach the trail you need to get to Sieur de Monts Spring, either by way of the One Way section along the Park Loop Road (look for signs) or by driving along route 3 from Bar Harbor, heading toward Otter Creek. Once at the parking lot, you want to go to the far end of the parking lot to the right, where there is a gated fire road. Follow the fire road a short ways and you will come to a four way intersection, The Jesup trail is to the right - you can't miss it because it will be the only boardwalk there. The board walk is long and runs through the woods, with places along the way to sit and rest. At the other end of the boardwalk the trail turns to dirt and continues on toward the Park Loop road, running through a meadow and by wetlands as it does. The trail is easy and kids seem to love running along the boardwalk. The meadow itself is great for bird watching and as you pass wet areas, look at the mud for animal tracks. Deer, rabbit and beaver tracks are often found here.
