Really close to roads and active buildings so busier than I’d like.

Good trail, well marked, and maintained. Easy footing, very few rocks or roots. Not a whole lot to see here, but nice, quiet, and peaceful. Everyone I came across had dogs, so it is clearly dog friendly

Great trail system - very well marked. The trails were still a bit icy and snow covered. A fun and easy adventure by all. The dogs enjoyed it too. We were the only ones on the trails which is always nice.

Nice hills got our heart rate up there. Easy fun trail while on vacation in Poland Maine. Loved the cave! The vernal pool was dried up and there was an orange fence blocking the quarry so we didn’t go down that trail either. But it was perfect for what we wanted. Took our 8 year old fur baby too!

This was a great hike. Went from one parking lot to the next. Along the way you can see that some trees have tags on them, telling you what they are. When done we had walked about 4 miles. Will be back for sure. Nice easy walk in the woods.

The Heart of Poland Conservation Area is a varied and beautiful hike. There is a 1.18 mile out and back trail marked in red named the Huntress Trail. This trail alone is beautiful but don't miss the many side trails and points of interest along the way. First I found a small quarry just off of the left side of the red trail. This is a very short spur but worth a look. It would probably be a nice spot to sit and have a picnic. A bit later I decided to take a loop called the White Oak Trail, appropriately blazed in white. It seems to be a bit grown up in places but an enjoyable walk. I did locate at least one marked White Oak on this trail. Lastly, I made sure to cut back to the Huntress Trail via the blue blazed Cave Trail. The caves were small but quite impressive. This connector trail between red and white is the best side-trail of all. The woods were very peaceful, filled with the sounds of bird songs and falling acorns. For a quiet walk in the woods, this is your hike.

Lovely little trek through the woods on a beautiful day. Very colorful, close to home and just long enough...

What a great hike! We came on a dreary, rainy, early October afternoon and made the best of it. I would not say that it is easy, there are some pretty good hills throughout, but the trails are well maintained and well marked. Our two young boys and our one year old dog loved it too!

This is a nice well marked trail system with two kiosk trail heads. One on each end of the red trail. There are three extra trails of the red trail all worth a look. Is suitable for mountain biking and snowshoeing.
