Really underrated hike, and was absolutely NOBODY there when I did it. Was 65 and sunny out, so I don't know. Put it on the list if you go to Acadia

This was a nice, short, flat hike, so a good choice after a more strenuous day. It’s a pretty walk through the woods, with the last part running alongside a brook that goes into the ocean. The kids enjoyed beach combing among the pink granite rocks and boulders once we reached the shore.

This was honestly my favorite hike of my trip to Maine. I normally like longer hikes, so it was nice to break the day up with a shorter route. The trail starts out in a beautiful wooded area and pops you out onto one of the prettiest beaches - surrounded by large cliffs and pine trees on both sides. I loved it. But I’m also bias because my now fiancé proposed here

Short but absolutely stunning, and perfect for a quick hike. Beautiful canopy and tidal pools along the way. When you get to the beach, the rocks off to the right make for a fun scramble above the inlet.

Easy short hike, beautiful views at the end. We climbed up the rock scramble on the beach and once past the fallen tree, there were a lot of mosquitoes. Until that point, it was a great, quick hike.

It's beautiful along the stream and peaceful at the shore. Watch out for the tree roots on the path.

Great little trail! Short enough to take our small dog on. Beautiful, small, private area at the end. Some rocks and roots to get over, but pretty easy.

Great little trail in a not as visited area. Follows a stream to the ocean which makes for great scenery.

Went here to officiate a wedding. No bugs at all around 5pm. Short easy walk. Not a hike, it's a walk, takes 10 minutes. Great place for a picnic and for kiddos to canvas the beach, rocks and etc. You can go swimming as it's a sand beach. Dog friendly ✌

Went for the sunset view but not a great place for it, plenty of mosquitoes.

Did this after reading the other reviews as a nice alternative to the more popular attractions. But OMG! It was like a scene from a horror picture! About half-way in the mosquitoes were relentlessly swarming our bodies. We stopped to apply even more OFF but stopping only allowed more of them to cling to our bodies. Literally there were so many that instantly attached themselves that it looked as though we had hairy legs and arms! The deep, dark forest only added to the macabre. We pressed on in the belief that the ocean breeze would provide relief. Sadly there was no prize at the end of this trail. These blood suckers were determined to take advantage of our flesh. We stuck around just long enough to apply even more OFF and don some jackets from our packs before quickly braving the gauntlet back to the car. We dove into the car slamming the doors behind us. A few managed to make it in with us and they continued the torment all the way back to town. Yeah, we'll pass on this one next time. Although, since we technically did complete the 'hike', it will get highlighted on my map.

Great little jaunt down one of Acadia's lesser known streams. Well established, root-filled trail follows the stream from Cooksey road down to the "beach". A small pool forms before the water filters down through the rocks into the cove, creating a very interesting waterway. Decent spot for a quick dip to cool down. Rocky beach flanked by cliffs provides a great place to have lunch without the crowds of nearby trails and beaches.

Fantastic trail for all ages. We just took our 3 and 5 year old on it and they loved it. It included a couple of bridges, a log boardwalk and a beautiful granite beach at the end.

Short walk down a path and wooden stairs on the left to a beautiful rocky, secluded beach right at the bottom of the Acadia NP Park Loop road, just after Otter Point on Mt. Desert Island. Great picture opportunities, The shore is covered with tumbled rocks that crackle and pop when the surf comes in and tumbles the rocks over and over. Great place to chill for sunrise or sunset.
