I went the north Cadillac trail up and this one down. Next time I would do it the other way around. Very steep and high stones to descend, really slippery when wet and you have to go a littler which partly flooded the trail. Some nice views at the top but not as amazing as north Cadillac.

Beautiful trail, hiked up to summit via North Trail and went down Gorge. Both beautiful and not too difficult.

Bit wet and slippery but still doable going down after some rain overnight (we went up a different trail). Lovely scenery.

Fun and steep at the end! Also, a very storybook forest. A great way to start a big loop up around Cadillac to Dorr.

Absolutely beautiful!

This was a great trail that climbs through a gorge with rock walls that gradually get taller and more sheer. The stone work to create the path is impressive at is climbs and winds its way through the gorge. There was water here in places and a small cascade that was pretty.

Amazing climb to the top of Cadillac Mt. if you bring a dog you will need to help them out up some of the scrambles. Highly recommend. Challenging but not impossible with absolutely beautiful views.

Goood out and back, views at the top were great, it was crowded with people that drove up but there were still some quite spots.

Awesome trail with some steep rocky sections but beautiful views and fun! I don’t recommend doing it on a wet day. The rocks can get very slippery and it wouldn’t be safe. Enjoy!

We went up gorge and down North Ridge which I would definitely recommend. Gorge is a lot of stairs after being initially flat; it’s also got a pretty good scramble at the top. North ridge has amazing views that you can see all the way down and is easier to go down than gorge. Would definitely do this route again.

This is a great hike. However, if you are bringing a dog be advised that 0.2 miles from the summit there are large boulders which may be challenging for a dog. I have a one yr old chocolate lab, and we were unable to summit Cadillac due to this part of the trail. Nonetheless it was enjoyable. This is a great option if the north ridge trail parking is full... not many people at all. Bring bug spray!

Awesome trail! My wife and I chose to do this one to summit Cadillac instead of the north ridge trail. Great idea. Hardly any people, good steep climbs, fun rock scrambles and well maintained/marked. Busy at the top of course, but a nice way to do Cadillac!

Happened upon this trail because there was no parking at the Cadillac North ridge. Great find! Although the trail through the gorge has no switchbacks meaning a leg burner stair climb it was great. About a mile in you hit a crossroad where you can choose Dorr or Cadillac mountains. We chose Cadillac and it was a beautiful scramble up over open ledges giving way to stunning vistas. From there we took the North ridge down and caught Gorge path back. Great hike

I took this coming down from Cadillac Mountain. The first part is lots of boulders, so a little bit tough for someone short like me to scrabble down, but nothing terrible. There’s a fun view down into the gorge (with lots of people trying out the cool echo there) and then a nice shaded hike in the gorge the rest of the way. It’s a cool path with a nice bubbling brook that I imagine looks spectacular after it’s rained. It was definitely less crowded than the North Ridge.

This was such a fun hike. It was just recently renovated and it is an exceptional hike with some fun bouldering!

Beautiful hike! We did it with a two year old in our hiking backpack. The final .4 scramble was a challenge but the views were AMAZING! Make sure you have bug spray for the bottom and sun screen for the top. Minimal foot traffic so it was truly enjoyable. The views in the gorge were stunning!

Great hike! The lower part has lots of mosquitoes but it’s beautiful and quiet.

Start at the bottom of this trail. Parking is better and it’s more fun.
