Early parts are like an enchanted forest! Opens up to quintessential rocky coast of Maine views. Gorgeous! Some trippy roots and rocks but a great easy walk.

WalkingGreat!

Real nice, easy trail. Seems everyone neglects to mention a nice little prize midway through, beautiful scenery and views of the Wood Island Light! So nice, benches to sit and take in the views.

Terribly crowded and no way to social distance during this global pandemic time. I parked along the road there and quickly received a ticket. Completely overrated and you can find many other trails that are much better in Maine. Not worth it.

HikingGreat!

This is a super easy trail with stunning views. Lots of great little trails down to the water, plenty of tide pools, and sweeping views of the ocean. Did this with my husband and 16 month old daughter, and she handled herself just fine! Mostly flat. Highly recommend. Parking is limited so you may have to drive around until you find a spot on the road outside the entrance.

Small trail. View was beautiful. Parking is limited. Make sure to park with traffic or you’ll get a ticket.

Not what I imagined when I read some other reviews. There is no parking, unless you want to get ticketed. Over crowded paths and no place to keep your distance. I also found several deer ticks on me when I got home. So much for a peaceful day out.

Heavily trafficked narrow paths, exceedingly buggy, no parking. This “trail” was not worth the drive. Criminally overrated.

There’s no way to distance as you go through a curving narrow bottleneck at the entrance/exit. Parking is very limited if you don’t want to get ticketed.

This trail has lovely coastal views, including a lighthouse and many birds. Bring binoculars! Today (early March) it is a combination of muddy, snowy, and icy in many places, so I'm glad I wore waterproof boots with Yaktrax. I enjoy this trail year round. When the tide is out you can walk down to little rocky beaches along the way as well. Gorgeous, and worth repeating.

Walking

Walked the trail with my dog even though dogs not allowed- no one said a thing, probably because it is off season. The trail was almost impossible to find in areas, possibly because of the wind and rain lately? Otherwise it’s a gorgeous and unique trial that I would definitely recommend!

Walking

A very short walk, though the views of the ocean are great. Audubon is making an effort to curb invasive plant species, so the section of the trail past the wooden walkway down to the beach looks like it’s been burnt. I probably wouldn’t do it again, only because it was quite a drive to get there for not a lot of payoff.

Very beautiful little trail! Could be more clearly marked in places, but beautiful and fun nonetheless
