Descended Dorr down this trail as part of a bigger loop. A nice moderate descent, comparatively, and would make a nice ascent up to Dorr for those wanting less of a challenge than the other trails.

Just did this trail! It was definitely hard, and it took us about 3 hours, but very fun. We took our dog and he loved it! The views on the way up North Ridge are spectacular. We took the Gorge trail on the way down and it’s a beautiful fun hike following the stream. It’s nice and cool in the gorge. It rained earlier today, so that made it fairly slippery though.

Went up Gorge to Dorr Summit. Beautiful woods and creek in the Gorge and challenging ascent at Dorr. Great scenery and workout.

Did this the opposite direction....Gorge Trail up to Dorr Mtn Summit and then back down Dorr MTN North Ridge....great hike, tough going up all the steps of the Gorge, but the views at top of Dorr are beautiful!

What a great workout for a limited time frame. Every time I hike up here, I stop to take many photos, usually during the sunset hours. The views going up are just as beautiful as well, especially during the fall. Plus if you go later in the day, you'll have better luck finding somewhere to park.

Gorgeous views! I did this Dec 1st...conditions were sketchy at best. Lots of ice on rocks from recent snow. Navigable but stressful.

Great hike! All up up up to the summit with breathtaking views at the top! I think this route should be rated hard because there’s no let up in the ascent, but it’s worth it!

We did this trail in the opposite direction. Gorge Path is beautiful but wearing for four 50+ desk jockeys. The 0.2 across the top is solid rock face. It was an amazing experience but not sure moderate is the best rating.

Great trail. Amazing views!! When taking the gorge trail be prepared for a lot of scrambling whether you take it up or down. You should be in decent shape for this trail. Would do it again!!

We did it with our 3 kids (14, 11.5 and 8). It was challenging until we reached the top. Overall we had a great hike.

Hiked the North Ridge Trail on January 13, which was very windy and icy. Make sure you bring ice grippers if hiking in the winter. Otherwise it is a beautiful trail! Great views of the ocean and Bar Harbor
