The Donnabeth Lippman Park formerly known as the Chaffin Pond Preserve is a 123 acre wooded area in northern part of Windham. There is a 10 acre pond on the property that is a great fishing hole for all ages. The Donnabeth Lippman Park offers easy walking on packed earth through wooded areas and around the edge of Chaffin Pond. The park's main trail loops around Chaffin Pond, but there are also trails on the east side of the pond that leave and connect back to the main loop. A trail extension on the north side of Chaffin Pond leads to Mud Ponds. These trails on the back side of the pond can be very wet during the spring season; however, these trails are an easy family hike that is in a great natural setting. Picnic tables and benches near the trailhead make this a great place for a picnic.

Quite a bit of tree damage from the recent storm. A few large trees fell across the Green trail and one on the Orange trail.

Nice and easy stroll through the woods. I love to bring my daughter here because of the playground and also the designated "story trail" for the kids. It is a nice, well kept area.

Easy enough trail, playground and sitting areas well maintained. Trails need little better signage to explain the nature around the trail and better trail markers. Overall a nice morning walk, I will return.

Easy trail with great views. Very muddy in spots where it is level with the lake.

They have a neat off shoot trail called the story book trail that has placards with pages from the featured book on the trail. Under the picture, they have fun interactive activities that children can do until they get to the next placard.

The only downside I noticed is you really have to pay attention on the footpaths. It is deceving because they are well worn paths, but numerous saplings have been cut on them, and the stumps remain a few inches up. They blend in well so you end up tripping a bit on them. I always watch my footing when walking, and still ended up tripping a few times.

This in no way detracts from my enjoyment of the trail though. I recommend this for a light trail for a sunny afternoon.

This is an easy loop trail around a local pond. Great for a dog walk, short hike or snow shoe trek. The paths are currently being upgraded with several cat walks to traverse the sections that are normally muddy. At least two geocaches can be found on this trail.
