Three peaks in Maine in one loop hike which takes you well off the trails into thick mountain tops. Crocker and South Crocker are fairly easy to ascend but finding your way to Reddington, especially if there is snow on the ground, can be very difficult. The brush is thick up near the tops of these mountains and you'll need to carefully follow the gps track back down forest logging roads to Carribou Pond Road to find your way back to your vehicle.

Great, tough hike completing the full swing of South, North, and Redington. The trail from South to Redington is rough stuff, but easy enough to follow with frequent compass/GPS checks - keep an eye out for helpful colored tags on this leg.

South Crocker seemed harder. Decent hike but they are right about limited views. Better summits are out there but if you hike for fitness, it's a good workout.

The Crocker's are tough, whether you hike northbound or southbound on the A.T. The Crocker Cirque Campsite sits in a glacial bowl, though, and is a nice break site or overnight site if you make this a two-day trip.

It a fun hike up two of Maine 4000 footers. Views are not great. But it is worth checking out, especially if your peakbagging in the area. The trail is not too steep especially when approaching from the north at the route 27 trail head. Saw a female partridge and four of her brood near the peak of south crocker. Pretty good look at the top of Mt. Abram from south crocker as well. Good slack pack about 12.4 miles.
