Just beautiful. Some rock scrambles. Difficult and slippery when wet.

HikingGreat!Rocky

With a knee injury keeping me off most trails I was worried about missing the park highlights, but after this trail I was more than satisfied I saw some of the best the park has to offer! Lovely views of the pink granite, mountain trees, and harbor dotted with islands. The drive up offered additional pullouts with more unique scenery. This was by far my favorite part of the Bar Harbor area.

Thanks to those who recommended starting on the Gorge Trail, definitely better up than down! This was a beautiful hike, definitely worth the few scary bits (it was my first scramble)

HikingGreat!

Not a hike, just a short walk with constant, breathtaking views. Very crowded because this is where the parking lot is for the people who drove up. Tons of spots for pictures- you really can’t miss this if you’re in Acadia!

For a complete photomap of the trail and GPS parking coordinates, go to my recording at https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/cadillac-summit-loop-trail-450e92a The Cadillac Summit Loop Trail is extremely easy to walk and to get to. I would say it has one of the best views of Acadia in comparison to all the trails and mountains that I hiked in Acadia. I did not have a chance to get there during sunrise or sunset, but I know the views would be spectacular. Depending on the time of year, Cadillac Mountain provides the first view of sunrise in the continental United States. May you always find peace in the scent of fresh air, in the way breeze feels against your skin, in the glistening reflection of a splashing creek, and in the sound of wind in the trees. Stay humble. Stay kind. Stay thankful. Keep hope. Keep smiling. Keep laughing. Love and respect nature, because that is where you will find a true lifetime of happiness! Also love and respect everyone who crosses your path. There is a reason why they did. If I see you on the trail, I promise to say "Hi" :-) Thank you for your time in reading this, because time is a gift that can not be taken back. I appreciate it. Have a great day!
