If you are biking or trail running, this trail is great. Highly recommend hikers skip it! Suuuper buggy. Small rocks/branches everywhere on the trail. Honestly not that pretty of a trail, we did the first mile and turned back because we’d rather go elsewhere.

You’re entirely in the woods (we chose the white loop and the purple trail, but there are a few more I can’t speak for) There Are some streams with stagnant water so it was a little buggy but not with mosquitoes. I didn’t find the trails to be overly rocky but there were a lot of tree roots so you must watch your step!

Amazing Time mountain biking. perhaps the best system of trails for mountainn biking in southern Maine, at least I have found.

Lots of fun and lots of up and down. Beware if you’ve never ridden here, when you leave the parking lot, you start with a good downhill through a meadow, but as soon as you hit the tree line the trail turns to loose crushed stone for maybe a quarter of a mile. Don’t carry too much speed into the woods because you can’t see it coming.

Great trail, beautiful this time of year.

Trail is open, there are a dizzying array of paths to follow which is pretty awesome, just be sure not to get confused. The “waterfall” trail marked in purple is laughable, it’s a teensy little stream that dribbles down a hill, it’s cute but it’s not a waterfall LOL

Trail has reopened as of 5/4/20. Trail is well marked and there is a map of the property at every intersection. I would recommend wearing proper footwear. Trail has lots of roots and rocks and at streams you have to cross over rocks. I would list this trail as moderate. There is not a lot of water flowing so the waterfall is more water flowing over rocks

Well marked trails, this is a great loop, especially as you get to the red trail. Went in mid-February, great for snowshoeing!

Great trail. Went on a sunny, calm day in early November. Most leaves we’re down which hid roots and rocks, but still easy to walk. A few sounds from the highway, but otherwise felt lost in nature. Explored white trail and waterfall trail. However, waterfall trail was hard to follow and we ultimately gave up on that. Will try again when the leaves are gone.

Terrific well marked hiking trail. Not hard at all but very rooty and rocky as you would expect on a medium trail. Great training hike and very dog friendly. Lots of options to extend the hike around other well marked loops.

Very nice trail. We went for the water falls but they were all dried up. Going to come back after the frost. Lots of mosquitoes

SO BUGGY! All of the streams and the waterfall were pretty much dried up, with some standing water. It’s difficult not to blaze past the entrance (3 times) and Google says that it’s permanently closed (it’s not). Very easy terrain, though. We’ll probably try again in the spring before the bugs hatch and while the water’s running.

A few of the paths were closed making it a little harder to navigate back. The paths aren’t clearly marked. Otherwise a good hike. Watch out for ticks.
