Amazing views, several places with a bit of a climb. Note that All Trails is wrong- we did this with our dogs today based on All Trails listings as dog friendly on leash. NPS lists this as a Resfricted- NO DOGS trail. Makes sense as we were concerned in a couple places- We always check AT first, guess always check the park source to confirm.

HikingGreat!RockyScramble

This was a great hike and our first Acadia ‘ladders’ trail. We had a few members of our group that have a moderate fear of heights and they were able to handle this. It is a very challenging hike but with two ‘peaks’ with multiple great lookouts I can not recommend this hike highly enough. We returned on the Valley and Canada Cliffs trial to complete the loop. The Fire Tower on the top of Beech Mountain made that section of this hike very popular for families with children. The cliffs section was more lightly traveled. I would not recommend going down the Beech Cliffs Trail.

We modified by parking at echo lake beach and taking the Canada cliffs trail down, it was great! The ladders and steps on the way up we’re fun but would’ve been tough coming down. The Canada cliffs trail is beautiful and an easier downward hike. Took us about an hour and was 2 miles total.

Very cool quick trail. Did it during a lunch break. The hike starts in beautiful wooded area, quickly changes to rocky terrain, then a few steep ladder climbs to get to the top. View from the top is gorgeous and the trails at the top wander around the edges for more views!

We started at Beech Mountain Trail Parking and took the Beech Cliff Trail intending to do the whole loop. I’m glad we rerouted and went down Canada Cliff Trail to get to Echo Lake. We took the Beech Cliff trail back up from there. I don’t think we would have made it down the ladders. But we were ok going up. Made it a much longer loop, but fun. The 4, 7, and 8 year old kiddos climbed the ladders like champs. I’d say the hike was all around kid and family friendly. A stop at the beach is a must after seeing it from atop the cliffs.

Added the trek to the summit on this route, and it was absolutely fantastic! A bit of everything from scrambling to a serene walk through a beautifully mature forest, and finally the summit with an amazing panoramic view. One of my favorites for sure.

Great hike going up from the beach! Rocky trail leads to a fairly steep ascent. Views are great from above. Continue on to Beech Mtn!

We just did the short loop from the Beech Cliffs parking lot and it was super easy and short, with a gorgeous view of Echo Lake and beyond.

Start at end of Echo Lake parking lot. I took my wife with. She is short and had open heart surgery 2 years ago. There are 4 iron ladders near the top. Go right for greatest views. Come back from top and make the loop back to Echo Lake parking. A fun trail.
