Follow Rt. 4 North from Auburn. In North Turner, take a left on 219 West and then first right on Bean Street. Take an immediate left onto Berry Road. Turn right on Bear Mountain Road after 2.2 miles. Parking is marked on the right side of the road.
Veryyyyyyy difficult to follow any kind of trail.. but the viewpoint on the way up and the summit provide some beautiful views
Nice hike, moderately paced with great views at the top. Currently lots of logging trucks traveling fast on the main road to the trail, so be alert.
I like this hike primarily because it is close to home. The trail is very rocky in places. The climb is steady yet not extreme. Some of the areas on top are grown in so the view is obstructed. Wander around to find the spot with a view.
Good geocaching here.
