Small "trail" to see the lighthouse. The paved path on the other side of the lighthouse was decent. This path involved a one-person-wide staircase and lots of rocks to walk on. Very easy to find - follow the crowds!

Way too crowded, and people aren't in a rush to be polite and step aside for others. The lighthouse was pretty, but this is a tourist trap.

Nice view of the water but the Trail is short. You can blaze your own and get pretty deep in the woods. Just keep the buoy chime on your left and you can make your way back to the parking lot.

As stated, a must to view one of the iconic images of Acadia. A short easy trail down to the rocks below the lighthouse, though you need to do a little scrambling to get to the best vantage point. It is better to go earlier in the day or at sunset. It's hard to get the classic shot during the late afternoon (at least during the summer) when the sun is low behind the lighthouse.

Famous Lighthouse view at Acadia NP, Bass Harbor Head Light is an active Coast Guard operated light house. Take the short trail down the steps to the left of the light to the rocks below for the iconic viewpoint. Not to miss in Acadia!
