Started at the harbor, crossed on the Bridge Street sand bar to Bar Island, hiked to the top, returned via reverse route.

Since it can only be accessed on foot during low tide, it can get pretty crowded at that time. I'm thinking it would be a great idea to pack a bag and a lunch, and plan on coming out last minute before high tide, and spending by the day there by myself until the tide goes out again.

Great way to start the morning. Went off the beaten path to left and found a lobster buoy washed up on shore. Overall very nice walk.

Quick out and back trail with small off shoots for those looking to explore. Heed the warning signs about the tide or you might get stuck for hours waiting for the water to go back out

Easy trail. Not clear when to go or some back in terms of tide so you have to judge yourself. Very easy trail. Dogs playing. Cars drive on it as well. Worth the moment before/after shopping in bar harbor.

This trail can actually be turned into a loop if you keep going after you come down from the summit-spur— you will see a smaller trail path that takes you down mountain a different way and is way less crowded. This extra bit made it 5-star for me:)

The sand bar is a lot of fun to see and experience. The island trail, while well maintained and covered didnt have much else to offer. Also the trail is packed!! Because everyone has to come at low tide to do this and is very family friendly, there are people everywhere.

This was a nice relaxing walk, it was fun to go out on the sand bar during low tide. The sand bar was crowded and you need to watch out for cars driving across. We went during the evening and the trail was starting to get quite dark so might want to bring flashlights.

I t was really nice to get started around 7:00 in the morning. There were not too many people and the water was low enough. the hike to the summit is good.
