I loved this hike! I found it difficult but beautiful. I love a hard uphill climb and this sure delivers! Gorgeous views from the summit!

Lovely hike with some fantastic views! We went up through the woods and came down along bald peak. There's also another trail that takes you down through the valley and back up onto Gilmore peak, which is a slightly higher elevation with equally beautiful views.

Nice moderate climb. Just when you think you're at the top, there's more to do! The upside to these "false summits" is that view is spectacular. Roughly half the trail is "in the woods" but the upper half starts to thin out with added exposure and smooth rock faces. Our three girls under 12 handled this trail well, but were tired at the end.
