Beautiful view from the top! Great place to stay a while & enjoy the vista. I agree with the other poster about it being more than moderate. I hike regularly, but the trail was completely covered with leaves which hide rocks underneath. It was slippery even though dry. Also, the trail wasn’t blazed well in some areas. And as the other poster mentioned, there is a scramble up rocks. But lovely day and hike! Definitely worth seeing!!

Excellent short hike, but possibly more strenuous than "moderate" for inexperienced hikers or people who aren't in great shape. My 65-yo mother-in-law found it too difficult to complete and waited at one of the many exposed spots for us to scramble to the top and back. A few steep spots where you'll depend on the treads of your shoes to get you up or down rock surfaces so if it's wet you'll want to consider your footwear. Beautiful views of Penobscot Bay and blueberry fields. Can't recommend this quick hike enough.

Fun little trail for beginner hikers, kids, and families, or someone just looking for a nice easy day out. There is no scrambling on this trail even though the description says there is. It's a regular basic hike with some very short, slightly steep sections that are still only walk ups.

Nice little trail. Lots of stream access and beautiful terrain. The most picturesque apple tree I've ever seen

Easy to moderate hike. Took my puppy, it was great for him. Beautiful ocean views as well as a cool view of the Camden Snow Bowl/Ragged Mountain. Next time we'll do Ragged Mountain from the same trail head!

I really enjoyed this hike, well kept and had easily seen trail markers. Beautiful views at the top. Had a difficult time with GPS figuring out where to go, I have ATT and it dropped out when I got near. I didn't have an address for my actual GPS so I drove around for a little bit and finally found it, no biggie though it's a beautiful area. 325 Barnestown Rd, Hope, ME is the actual address for those who want to put it into their GPS.

Great hike. Takes about 40 minutes up and the same coming down. Trails is nice mix gaining elevation and a walk in the woods. Runkeeper had our hike at a total of 2.3 miles, up and back. Views of Camden bay were gorgeous.

One mile on dirt Bald Rock Road with 1/2 mile trail up to Bald Rock. Total distance to the rock is 1.6 miles. The trail is not difficult in fact at one point there are rock stairs. The view of the coastline with the harbors of Rockport, Camden, and Lincolnville and the islands just off the coast was spectacular.

Fun trail, some steep rocky sections but overall not too difficult, good views of surrounding mountains. 30 minutes to the summit and about 20 minutes down.

Great day on the trail. Started at about 8:30 in the morning at about 25 degrees lots of snow and ice on trail but it was frozen and hard made hiking pretty easy got to the top in about an hour, beautiful 360 degree views. stayed about an hour on top and stared back down the trip down was harder being slippery but it was not to bad we were back at the car by noon. also was first hike carrying back packs.
