Back Cove Trail is a 3.6 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Portland, Maine that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

An easy walk around a cove off Casco Bay. The path is crushed stone dust and is quite popular with the locals. You will see many runners, joggers, dogs, baby carriages and bikes. There is two parking areas at opposite sides of the loop.
