Great views at the top!! Scenic views along the lake edge. I would call it more strenuous than the “moderate” rating with some steep slopes and rock climbing. Very buggy in the woods so plan accordingly.

This was a great hike. It took us a total of three hours and I agree with the moderate rating for difficulty. There was a fair amount of uphill climb on small and medium sized rocks but at no time did we have to use our hands. There are a few waterfalls in a soft pine floor forest which sound amazing and look beautiful. Long pond is exceptionally picturesque. Would definitely recommend.

Great hike with our dog and really enjoyed the scenery. We cut through Maple Springs Trails and the creek and small waterfalls made for nice pictures.

Did the trail counter-clockwise. The part of the trail where you leave the lake and start going up was so buggy. Def not my favorite, but worth doing if you have several days in the area.

Decent hike, but look at the map and do the hike clockwise so you finish by the lake. Dog friendly, and most of the hike is in a wooded area so insect repellant is a good idea.
