Enjoyed this short hike to the summit of Schoodic Head. It’s too steep to be considered easy. The road to the trailhead shown on the map was closed so we started our hike from the pull off on the loop road.

Did the Anvil in and East Trail out + rock hoping on the shore back. The kids (9/11) loved the latter part, I would rate the Anvil as the most interesting section. Very quite and beautiful forest with overlooks once in a while. Quite and not challenging but loved it for the nature experience. Nor hard bit also not boring easy.

The easy East Trail - climb from the small parking area on the shore side just past Schoodic Point if you are headed north on Hwy 1 - was a nice climb to the parking lot and a view to the west from a high point - Schoodic Head; open but not much better views than are along the shore drive. Lots of brush along the way too. There are better trails.

This may be the best way up to Schoodic Head. The shortest means and not too steep. Connects with other trails up top but not for a loop unless you want to walk a long ways back to car.
