Well maintained trail. There are aligators so keep close watch of your dogs if you choose to bring them. Beautiful overall!

Beautiful park overall but would not recommend this for dogs due to the alligators.

Well kept trail. Wouldn’t want to do it in the summer, but in fall it was brilliant.

Not bad, decently maintained and a nice path to the boardwalk. LOTS of banana spiders, watch overhead.

It’s a nice walk to do this trail along with the Marsh Boardwalk. The path is wide and clear, so it’s easily navigable. It’s also marked well so you know which trail you’re on. My dog loved it

i hiked during a dry spell (no mud). I found it to be a short, very nice trail.You. must do the boardwalk trail, (about 1/3 mi.). That is the highlight of the hike.

well kept trails with a few muddy spot that might be impassible if it had rained lately. They did have boards going through the puddles to make it less muddy for you. Many signs describing the native plants in the area. The boardwalk is in good shape and is pretty long compared to most. The boardwalk has a binocular type contraption at one point.

Winter update: January has been quite rainy and the trail reflects that. Quite a few places that you'll have to use wood planks (so kindly placed by either park staff or others) to cross water (stagnant and moving). Slick mud patches and came back with wet socks, but still a very wide easy trail with great scenery and wildlife viewing. Saw a bald eagle and flying pelicans.

Fontainebleau State Park is really nice! I really enjoyed seeing the old live oaks with Spanish moss. The park was once the site of a sugar cane plantation.
