Only attempt this trail of you've downloaded the map, have a good compass, and want to practice your orienteering and land-nav skills. The trail is interwoven with many other dirt bike and ATV trails so it's easy to take the wrong turn. Make sure to wear good boots and thick pants for all the briars. There are some beautiful views along the way. A memorial sign to Larry Dill is about halfway.

It’s somewhat of loop that connects with other established trails in the area , which can be confusing at times. This trail is not marked and can be overgrown in areas. A good equestrian trail, a decent hiking trail , don’t know if it would be fun on a mountain bike. It did have a couple of great camping spots and water crossings. Once you cross Hwy 112 and the second major creek crossing the trail get sketchy and hard to find at times. I am not 100% sure the gps I followed was the official trail and eventually just road walked back to the trailhead. It was a fun adventure and I wanted to check it off my “La. hiking bucket list”
