This was a combination of several trails within the state park. Mainly used for equestrian.
lots of spiderwebs.. trails aren't clearly marked.. would go back but not my favorite.
Great cut trail. Nice hiking weather for December. First hike for my daughter and I. She was getting tired before we met the half way mark so we back tracked. Hopefully she will go again with me . I would walk this one again. Well kept and well marked.
Fantastic trail, well maintained. Saw 10 deer and a bunch of birds and squirrels. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Great mountain biking trail. I would say ideal for those not looking to work too hard for the miles. Perfect for pulling my son in the weehoo. We also picked up some geocaches along the way which were super kid friendly. All-in-all, a great day in the woods.
perfect trail run. got 8 in. Had stop a couple of times to check directional app.
Quiet day for a walk. Not another soul out there. The trail is bet used by bikers & runners. Path is wide [like a bush hog made the trail. For hiking, it was good exercise & a place to sweat a lot [like being in a steam room]. Not so good for site seeing other the the lake itself.
Did this trail with our 3 kids 10, 8, and 4. It had a couple muddy spots but other than that it was a really simply hike. Not much scenery views just wooded trails.
I hiked the Lake Bistineau trails with my 7 y/o daughter on 11/17. We enjoyed our time on these easy trails. The park ranger was there and made a very active presence in the park. Lake Bistineau was drawn down but the grounds were still beautiful. Easy hike and well maintained trails is what you will find in Elm Grove.
Great Trail. Beautiful scenery. Little Overgrown in spots but back to nature loved it!
Has the potential to be a fun trail. Although it’s not challenging at all the trail itself is in terrible shape. Grass as tall as my bike in spots, poorly marked in certain sections (marked very well in other spots), and tons of limbs and a few large trees in trail that you have to carry your bike across. Very disappointing.
We hiked here (with our 5 y/o & 2 y/o) for the first time on Christmas Day. We ended up staying for over 4 hours I think. We hiked the Blue Wing trail for the most part until we hiked off the path to head towards the lake. Though there was next to no water in many places it was just beautiful, other worldly! We came upon a sweet gum tree that had fallen over and broken another tree in half. We found so many different kinds of moss, lichen, and many beautiful mushrooms we'd never seen in person. There were also toads everywhere. It was quite an adventure. We can't wait to go back!
