Great easy little boardwalk loop trail through the swamp! There’s a pavilion at the back of the loop on a small pond, which would be a great place for a picnic or nice quiet read.

This is a really good trail! Most of it is a boardwalk until you get to the picnic area in which there is a small trail off the boardwalk. Still really nice and easy walk with my dog. Lots of lizards and potentially salamander (can’t tell).

This is certainly one of the most child friendly nature trails in this area. It’s all on a planked path with guardrails “above” the swamp. I only saw two big turtles and one snake, but this is after that cool snap we’ve had. The museum where you’ll park is worth the visit too! Worst case is $6 a head but seniors, etc. are discounted. I’ll definitely go back and will recommend it to visitors. Watch for the speed trap going though.
