March 21 - social distancing! this trail is not "closed". there are a few spots that still have fallen trees over the tail due to a massive tornado in Dec. hubs and I are not in great shape. we took our 4 year old and our dog. we had a GREAT time! tail is easy to see and red diamonds are on the trees. a total thumbs up for this novice! great for kids

There is nothing showing that the trail is closed on site, believing it was reopened I ran it. Two miles in the trail disappeared in tree debris.

Due to the tornados in early December 2019, this trail is closed. An attempt to hike it led to frustration quickly. With all the down trees it is currently not safe.

Great trail . Well marked and drained. Hiked yesterday. Surprised a deer who was bedded down. Will definitely come here again!

We walked the first 3 miles (3 miles out and 3 miles back) of this trail today. Great trail. Our new favorite trail. Because of the elevation changes I would rate it as moderate instead of easy. Nice lake views. Trail was dry even after all of the rain this week. Well shaded. Very well maintained and marked.

hiked part of the trail I loved every step of it I have hiked in chicot state park and the trail is a million times better than chicot state park I would recommend this trail to anyone wanting a good endurance hike I will be back to finish it and camp as well I found a lot of water sources so all you need is a filter get to hike and remember to hike your own hike!!!

Nice out and back trail with good opportunities for birdwatching, foraging, and camping. At points the road joins the trail causing a bit more trash to show up, but overall very accessible, peaceful, and well-maintained.

Beautiful trail, but be prepared for a hilly hike. We have been hiking about 13 mikes at other trails and having no problems and then tried this trail today and saw a big difference on our endurance level. Much slower pace due to the up and down path. Will hike this trail again for the scenery and physical challenge.
