Nice easy trail. Great for kids, lots of information posted about animals and nature. Weird concrete map of New Orleans in the center of the trail (on highest point). Enjoy getting lost on the numerous side trail... you are never more than 10 minutes from the road. Fantastic escape into nature so close to downtown New Orleans. Good birding and photo location.

First timers beware: this trail has more than a dozen off shoots that are indistinguishable from the main trail. The main trail is not marked! It is a beautiful trail in the middle of Mid-City, awesome local escape! However, as a type A personality, I was stressed because I kept going off the main trail. I did have 2 small dogs in tow, so without the extra steps, a 1 mile trail is about all they can handle. I ended up using my All Trails app the ENTIRE time & STILL went off the trail accidentally. I will be back. Now, I know what to expect, & if you’ve got time to explore, maybe going off the main trail will be fun.

Nice, easy trail easy to get to in the city. Dog friendly. Mosquitoes are terrible in the summer, but so far still okay.

Very nice, but kind of crowded when I visited. More of a collection of trails than a trails. No real markings. Very easy to wander. Great way to discover local fauna and flora. Amazing location in the city. A little short, but a great way to relax.

Overall it was a well kept trail, with pretty greenery. But I give this what I did mainly for the fact that not only is it short, but there is really no way of knowing which direction you should go. You sort of walk through through it, guessing which way to go next. Loved how green it was, and how maintained it seemed to be

Just wish it was a longer trail!

I upgraded my review from 4 to 5 stars because trail was overgrown and they cleaned it up recently. Soft path to walk on. Beautiful views by the lake. Awesome trees. Hill to practice your climbing skills. If you do this trail at dusk you can hear the possums and rabbits and other creatures scampering about.

Couturier Forest is really dope. The lookout over the lake is pretty as heck. The trail through the woods is clear and cool. There are bugs and the trail will be muddy after rain.

Labor Day hike with Lawson. A very muddy trail after a heavy rain, but very cool scenery including a giant spider and great blue Heron.

I did a little bit of running on the mulch trails back here to save my ankles. I didn’t even realize this was here! Very nice getaway.

Lovely walk through the forest. Lots of egrets, turtles, large snails in the canal along the left hand side of the walk. Beautiful escape from the city!

trail is nice get away from the city, but it looks like they are working on it. there seems to be a lot of off shoots. the clearer the path looks is most likely the one that will follow what you currently see on this app. there are a great deal of picnic tables setuped for you to use

This little network of trails in City Park is one of my favorite places where I can go to escape “the city.” The end of Fall is an ideal time to go as there are few bugs and people on the trails, but plenty of birds in the trees. On this last trip, I spotted some Wilson’s Warblers, yellow-rumped warblers, anhingas, mallards, and a Brown pelican on the water. The hill in the middle of the forest is a nice climb for being in New Orleans. One you reach the top, there is a large concrete map of the city. Huge sycamore leaves can be found on the ground this time of year. I don’t come here enough and I hope to change that.
