Wilderness Trail is a 4.9 mile out and back trail located near Cadiz, Kentucky that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and camping.
The walk around the lodge area is pretty nice, albeit very short. The wilderness trail was ok. It's pretty well maintained and marked, so the trail is very easy to follow. It is not very scenic though. The woods open up some at a few points on the trail and there are a couple of minor hills. It wasn't all negative though, because we didn't run into anyone at all. We had a nice enough time. If you're up in the area, it's worth the hike, but I wouldn't go out of the way for it.
Walk around the lake edge to the boat docks is very scenic. I fished and caught several large moth bass. There was a family of muskrats in the rocks near the boat docks. Lake is usually stained that makes bank fishing very good most of the time. You can rent a boat from the boat docks or go canoeing. Lake can be rough on windy days.
