A local favorite for students at EKU and Berea College as well as residents of Madison County. I rarely do the hike without seeing other people. Dogs are welcome and common to see. There is a steep and slightly technical quarter mile stretch at the beginning but after that it's mostly moderate to beginner skill level. At the top there is a great view of Richmond and local farms. I'd recommend going at sunrise or sunset with your camera but make sure to have a headlamp to get back down after dark.

We had hiked the East Pinnacle, Eagle's nest, Buzzard's Roost and Indian Fort back in November and we went back to do the West Pinnacle this time. We also went to Eagle's Nest and Indian Fort again. I love this place and it always shocks me that this is in Berea. You don't think about Berea having Pinnacles.

The outlooks are great! See a guy loose his cellphone on one! Don't lay your stuff down by the edges!!
