Don’t go in March - April.... unless you don’t mind knee deep mud and mud skating. By the time the mid drys the white bass is running and by then the parks service is starTing to open the gates. It is then that they want to charge you 2.00 to walk about .4 mile of muddy and swampy road. Do yourself a favor, cross the low water bridge and go to the other side. The fishing is better and they consider the price of fishing and hunting license to be sufficient enough for fishing.
