Trail-head is behind restrooms at the Carr Creek Dam Spillway. Trail is clearly marked and easily identified by signage and a wooden handrail and steps leading up the hillside. The other trail-head is off of (Sugar Lake Rd. Vicco, Ky if you're using GPS). To reach Sugar Lake Rd. continue on Ky Hwy 15 South past Carr Creek Marina. Turn left on route 1231. In approximately 1 mile turn Left onto Sugar Lake Rd. (Directly across from Alpine Ln.). Trail-head will be on the left and clearly identified by signage and a large gate to prohibit vehicle use of the trail. Parking Is available in a large paved lot at the Carr Creek Dam or in a few gravel spots along the roadway on Sugar Lake Rd.

Hiked it last year. It's not a bad trail, but it could be better taken care of.

Fun trail to stretch your legs on. When traveling from the Sugar Lake Rd. trail-head, the last mile is pretty difficult and makes up for the easy trail you travel up to that point. Stumbled across a geo-cache on the trail so that was pretty cool. Great views and a lot of little waterfalls, Probably best traveled late fall through early spring. I would imagine the last mile would be pretty grown over and hard to follow once everything greens out.
