Little overgrown in some areas...hills are a great workout. Little to no traffic on a Sunday afternoon.

Really enjoyed it! The hills were no joke but a nice challenge! I actually quite liked the trees and shade around. Would do it again for sure!

It’s a nice through hike from the welcome center to another section of the park. Lots of ups and downs. Well maintained. Overall good hike.

No joke of a trail that’s for sure! Nice though but not much in the way of views.

A great “go as far as you want and come back trail”. Once you take the initial climb you are on the ridge line for a ways. Park in the Scotts Gap Loop parking area. It is across the street from that.

This is a straightforward, well-maintained Trail. This is an easy hike for those who are experienced hikers but because of the hills may be challenging for beginners. Don't expect to see any pretty views on this hike.

Appropriately rated as a moderate. Some of the hills get your heart rate up for sure!

6/16/20 This trail was pretty rugged with 10+ trees over the path you had to climb over or under. Some of the elevation was very steep so bring a walking stick to help balance. There were several creek crossings so keep that in mind if there has been a lot of rain. The views are probably stunning in the fall! The foliage blocked most of the Vista.

Was hoping for a lot more. The trail is not very scenic, has intense up hill climbs, and not a lot of variation in the terrain. Good if you want challenging climb out and back but otherwise there are a lot better spots.
