An 8.1 mile loop trail along the hilltops and ridges of downtown Paintsville. This trail will take you to Flat Rock and Skull Rock Overlooks. Then, it's an all down hill ride or hike to Thealka where you will join the Concord connection trail to Paintsville's Golf Course.

This isn't a trail. The majority of the route around the city occurres on major roads with no tree cover, where there is a constant stream of cars flying by. Breathing car exhaust by busy highways is not my idea of a trail. To make matters worse, Concord street has numerous houses with loose territorial dogs, so this "trail" is extremely dog-unfriendly...

Great scenic trail can't wait to see it in the fall when the leaves change colors.

Scenic view of historic Paintsville Ky. This trail would be beautiful in the fall and you could see all of town. This trail is good for mountain biking and hiking. Mountain Bikers are encouraged to start with Skull Rock Overlook first, because this end of the trail is all downhill.
