This was a nice trail. Fun for the whole family. We probably ended up with 3 miles out and back. We had kids ages 7-14 and they all handled it well. The waterfall was beautiful and refreshing.

Nice trail and such a beautiful little swimming hole. There wasn't a huge flow of water due to lack of rain but it was still beautiful and refreshing after the walk. We hiked it with our 6 , 3 and 1 year olds and they did great.

Trail was well maintained. Julia Falls was a trickle. Princess Falls was a tad dry but still pretty good flow.

Pretty trail with a few good views along the way. it is easy to get to the top of this Trail and walk around. I highly recommend packing a snack, taking your shoes off, and staying a while.

We were lucky to stumble upon a different way to access this trail. You can go to Hickman Cemetery Road, McCreary county, and access this trail. Once you turn down that road, at one point you have to take a left. There are no signs and it looks very desolate and the road is gravel. Once you get to the bottom of that road you will see a native american carved wooden statue. If you park there and go to the metal gates to the right of that, you are on the path. This trail is by far one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever been on. It looked like something straight out of a storybook or fairytale. I'm not sure if it was the time of year we went, the amount of rain we had, or if it's that amazing all year long, but every inch was breathtaking. The falls we stunning as well. Definitely did not disappoint and the hike was fairly short and easy. One of my favorites!!

Parking is very limited here, and a ranger was stationed at the entrance limiting the number of vehicles entering. Low clearance cars would have difficulty reaching the lower parking lot. I highly recommend the short walk to the upper parking lot to access the trailhead. There is a trail that connects into the Sheltowee Trail, but is narrow and overgrown. In one spot a downed tree has blocked the path, requiring a strenuous short climb to bypass. This isn’t a problem if getting on the trial at the upper parking lot. The forest floor path is nice with a few avoidable muddy places. The climb down to the waterfall could be a challenge for some. The last leg of the journey almost transports you to a jungle setting. Don’t miss the short detour to Jenny Lynn Falls right off the main path. The path is rarely marked, and finding the parking lot is even a bit of a challenge with no signage for Princess Falls there.

Beautiful hike/fairly easy. Park at old store and then crossing the bridge is easiest access. Stay on paths to the right. Little falls before the main one are nice too.

Hiked this trail for the first time last weekend. Great, easy trail and beautiful falls. Very little elevation change. For the person who asked this, I would say not wheelchair accessible, especially not for the main attraction. Some spots were muddy, and the trail gets quite narrow close to Princess Falls.

Question: Is it wheelchair accessible in most areas?

We had a great time on this trail today. My 7 and 8 year old both had a very easy time. I hiked carrying my 1 1/2 year old on my back (hiking carrier) and had an easy time as well. It was so beautiful and the kids loved it.

Good trail for a walk. Bring clothes to get wet and play in the pool under the falls. Great shade. Saw a snake and some snails, lots of flowers and different mushrooms.

Easiest trail I have walked, beautiful too. Definitely a trail to take the kids on, even younger ones. A few spots were muddy but nothing anyone couldn’t get over.

Fun Trail! We had several hikers with us ranging from 6 yrs old to 70 yrs old and everyone enjoyed it. I wouldn’t suggest this trail after it’s rained, it was muddy in several spots, and it hasn’t rained for almost a week. The older hikers had trouble keeping their footing in some areas. However, it was still an easy trail and very beautiful.

Great hike leading to a beautiful waterfall. Most of the trail is shaded and you can find several smaller water features on your way to princess falls. A few places were narrow when it came to passing other hikers but most of the trail was wide enough for multiple people to walk next to each other. It was very muddy and therefore slick in places. Will definitely be doing this trail again!
