This wooded trail has a few steep sections but overall is a beautiful hike. Be aware that there’s a point near where 221 and 227 meet that requires you to traverse up/down a rock formation and it is easy to get turned around there.
Easy to follow except one spot by the cliff- you need to go to the left and really hug the overhang.
Added a side 2 mile trip to grays arch which made it quite challenging. In total about 7 challenging miles
All in the forest, pretty well marked if you know the steps and follow the AllTrails map. We walked fast and barely stopped and took 2 hours.
Highly recommended. Good day of hiking with that hike and Gray’s Arch
Nice hike. After a storm there was one spot that was muddy/slick and might be tough if you’ve got bad knees, but otherwise fine. Longer than noted in AT — 4.2 miles total.
A nice easy walk in the woods for the dogs. Not too many people even on a beautiful day. Would do again
It's been very rainy the past few days, so it was muddy in spots, but nothing terrible. A beautiful trail with a bunch of great views of rock formations, several waterfalls and creeks, and some nice open views from the tops of the ridges. It's late March, so quite wet, and Covid-19 just hit the fan last week, so we came across one couple in 4 miles.
Great trail with beautiful views! Added on rough trail to make it a loop and it was definitely worth the extra 0.6 miles.
Great less-populated trail if you’re looking for a nice hike but don’t need to see spectacular views. We got lost at one point so keep an eye out for the trail marker diamonds. If you don’t see any for awhile, you’re off the trail even if you’re on what looks like a trail.
