McHargue's Mill Trail runs through Levi Jackson State Park. The trail is mostly gravel and blacktop which makes it more of a walking trail instead of a hiking trail. Their are a few inclines but the surface is rather smooth so it is easy and with some effort it is stroller friendly. There are two trail heads the southern one begins in the swimming pool parking lot, while the northern trail head begins on the back side of McHargue's Mill. The trail is rather entertaining as it travels past a campground, Tree Top Adventures, the Mountain Life Museum, Defeated Camp Burial Ground, and McHargue's Mill.

As has been stated this isn't exactly a hiking trail but it does cut through the forest and has some serene views. Great for kids and those who want some forest views without any major trekking or prep.

The McHargue Mill Trail is a rather fun trail, especially during the months that the trees are green. I only rated it two stars because it more of a walking trail than a hiking trail. It was still enjoyable, it was fast and allows for getting in some steps. Today it was 50 degrees I saw a family pushing a stroller and also met a 91 year old lady hiking the trail.
