Lovely and historic walk. Other than some road noise very peaceful.

It was an easy trail. We used it as part of a homeschool field trip. It was good for that. Otherwise, you walk along the highway for a while and never get away from the road noise. There is some road walking near the end too. It was okay, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to hike here.

The kids and I had a great time discovering these trails. Would be much better if the trail entrances and intersections were marked to be a bit more clear. But hey, beautiful day in nature!

The trail is OK-unfortunately it never strays too far from Highway 68, so you’re always hearing the traffic. The reconstructed trading fort is neat, and there is a nice meadow walk next to the Licking River. You can make an almost 5 mile outing by adding in the lollipop loop along the west side of the river behind the lodge. Good to do if you’re in the area but not worth a trip.

Nice trail. A few muddy spots and a couple hills. Enjoyed with the family. Lots of wild flowers.

Really enjoyed this trail! Had a couple steep climbs, but they were short-lived. Some muddy spots, but mostly beautiful scenery. Lots of wildflowers, trees, meadows, follows the river most of the way. Very enjoyable!

Nice little trail. About half is along a busy highway, so that’s a negative. Our 8 year old liked the historical markers. Probably won’t come back, but it was nice once.

Easy trail. Enjoyed it very much. State Park is so off the beaten path but the trail follows a major thoroughfare so you hear vehicles most of the time.

nice trail with different views throughout. nothing eye popping but beats most trails in the area that are just flat woods from start to finish. could go without walking beside the highway for a small section.

Excellent conditions, extremely well maintained! Extremely easy and many loops off the main trail! Great for history buffs as there are markers explaining archeology finds and history of the area you’re at and the trace aka trail you’re hiking:)weather was perfect today:)

The trail is well marked and well maintained. Seen lots of flowers, turkeys. couple Garter Snakes, wear proper shoes and take water as parts of the trail are in open field. Nice family trail for a small hike. Most of the hike will lead you next to the river which has really nice scenery. If you are allergic to wasp and bees be careful at the fort as I encountered plenty them flying around.
