HikingGreat!

Nice clean, well defined trail. Newly constructed boardwalk at west end of lake. Huge hardwoods, massive lily pads, lots of cool photo ops. Massive uprooted trees along southern edge of lake. It’s a good 1 hour trail. Weather was perfect today.

Easy trail- though quite humid as most of the trail is wetlands. The newly finished boardwalk portion is quite nice!

Easy trail with lots of butterflies where the grassy wildflower area is located. Huge lily pads on the lake and a nice bench to sit and enjoy the breeze. Epic wooden foot bridge.

Excellent trail with a beautiful bridge that cross over to the other side of the lake, plus the stepping stones at the front or end of trail depending on which route you take were fun.

We started at around 9:30 am. Not too hot, not too cool. Lots of wildlife. Geese all over the water and saw a deer eating and splashing around on the backside of the trail. We liked the trails that broke off the main trail that led down to the lake. We will come back to this one again in the fall.

Very nice and easy trail. Awesome sights around the lake and waters edge. The replace boardwalk is very nice! Would be a great place to bring your dog for a walk. It does start getting busy with people throughout the day so I would suggest an early hike and beat the crowds.

This is a short and easy hike but it is beautiful. The new bridge was honestly impressive and really fun to walk on. The area was extremely busy but I'll excuse that since everything is just beginning to reopen. A few muddy spots due to the abundance of rain but overall, the trail is clear. Great place to take your family!

Great trail! A little easy and short for purposes of burning calories or getting HR up (if you’re fit) but wonderful for scenery and a nice relaxing outing.

The made recent repairs on the bridge part of the trail and it’s in fabulous shape. They did away with the trail to the beaver dam which was disappointing. But overall it’s such a nice hike and my 5 and 3 year old did great.

First time at this trail, but I loved it. There were a few places that were wet and/or muddy from last weeks rain, but it was great!

One of my favorites! My dog loves walking trails with me this is a great one to take your dogs. The new board walk and bridge is finished and absolutely beautiful. If you go after it’s been raining wear water proof shows or boots.

Blowdown

It’s been years since I’ve been on this trail, we had a good walk. Lots of blow down from the recent storms, but none of it blocked the trail. Everything was cut and moved out of the way. The new bridge is nearly done, as of today (Jan 5, 2020) there’s only about 30 more feet before it’s finished, but there were some boards leaning against the side of the structure which allowed us to walk on it.
