Suburban area trail, tree lined hike, along stream, open meadow views This is a nice natural diversion located in the midst of eastern Jefferson County. When you need a quick nature fix, and you don't have much time, this loop trail packs a lot of diversity in a mile and a half. Turning right at the first trail intersection, you'll quickly be walking through a tunnel of small trees and bushes. Soon afterward, the trees grow larger, and the undergrowth opens up as you walk along side the trails namesake, Goose Creek. As you veer away from the creek, you will pass a small orchard, and come to another trail intersection. Ignore the sign directing you to turn left, and continue straight past a small fenced cemetary on your left. You will soon come to the crushed gravel fitness trail, turn left, then turn left again when you meet the old gravel park road. Shortly after crossing the bridge, turn left back onto the Nature Trail. Follow the trail through an open area of grasses and wildflowers and you'll soon be back to the trailhead.

This trail is great if you are looking for a short outing. There are lots of animal trails off the main one if you want to make it a little longer. You will encounter several people and some dogs. Overall a nice trail that is close to the house.

Easy park for trail running. It feels like the forest is being cleared out. Wide trails. Has an unnatural feel to it now.

Saw 1 deer, a little confusing when it coincides with fitness trail. Good trail for regular use.

I went with my husband and our 3.5 year old and 15 month old. Our daughter completed the hike on her own and our son was worn by me. We enjoyed all the little meandering paths off the main loop.
