Mountain bikingGreat!

love this trail it's a double track gravel about halfway then paved park roads on the other side. heavily used by walkers be careful on blind curves announce your approach to walkers but many are wearing headphones and may not hear you be careful and have fun!

Nice walk with the dogs and my baby girl. Not too crowded. Noticed an amphitheater improvement and couple of kayaks fishing on the lake. Found an easy access for the dogs too get a drink too.

Love this for any time of day. I do this trail almost daily. I park at veterans park, follow the path under the bridge and turn left at the end of the road to take the trail. It’s nice that you can switch up trails to add more/less miles. I can easily get 10,000 steps if I spend at least an hour. Never crowded during the week & a nice break from reality.

First off, for any first time users of this trail, beware that about half of this “trail” is the road that follows around the lake. This was unexpected and greatly disappointing. At the beginning of the trail you cross a bridge and can go left or right. We went right and for the first 1/4 mile was shaded and through some trees/dog park. Then it comes to a road and you follow that road around half the trail. There was a lot of traffic using the road so you have to pay extra attention or walk in the grass off the side of the lake. After about 2 miles in it turns into a paved/rock trail on a levee at the end of the lake. A bit later it finally hits a wooded part where you will finish the last 1.5-2 miles of the trail. That last part makes it all worth it, but the first half is very disappointing. Just be prepared for the road hike, because my wife and I were not.

Great walking trail within a town. It is paved then gravel. It is a great hidden gem around the city lake.

It’s a great running trail! Super kid friendly and easy to follow. Also connects to the Nature Veterans Park on Ring Road if you want a longer loop.

Good trail in the middle of the city. This is a great escape from the traffic and winter shopping frenzies. The trail is easily accessible for many ages. The only downfall, there was major flooding when we went that blocked off the path. We managed though and finished the loop!

Love this trail. It's within walking distance of my house. It's lovely in the cooler months, not a lot of traffic during the week.

A nice walk if you cannot get out of the city arena. I enjoyed the lake views and the very clean well kept trail. Surrounded by residents, but that is clear from the map. I went on an October Monday, but I can imagine it gets busy on the weekends and in the summer. Nice option if you love close by.

Went on a cool, crisp October morning and it was so beautiful walking around the lake. I’ve added pictures for reference. Trail is easy, partly paved, rocks and dirt. Sunny in some areas and shaded in others. It is a great mix! Well marked and no issues at all navigating.

Such an beautiful easy trail. I’m visiting my daughter whom moved here to Elizabethtown with her fiancé after graduation from University of Cincinnati. I met Howard on the trail. He’s a stroke survivor and a devoted Christian and a strong, kind human. Lived in E-Town his whole life. Thank you for talking to a mom and telling all about here and the history. Very kind people on the trail and I left inspired from everyone I encountered. Thanks E-Town!!!!! Trail is dog friendly too. ( thank you young couple for allowing me take a pic of your beautiful German Shepherd)

This trail is very well maintained, and the wooded section is beautiful. That being said, it might not suit someone who is looking for solitude/to commune with nature. It is fairly busy and not all of it is in the woods, but it is a great place for an easier run.
