Does anyone know if this trail is re-opened? Also if it's a suitable trail to take a dog?
This trail is closed. There is a big sign once you get all the way up to it saying that it is closed due to construction.
Very steep, but very interesting and extremely scenic.
trail is still closed for construction
As of this date this trail is closed due to construction. I will check back periodically to see if any of this has changed but for now it's off limits.
This trail is a great small hike that is well worth the trip. My 8 year old son has walked this trail on many occasions with me. It has some beautiful scenes including a natural spring and some historic points. Make sure you take your time to notice all the small things that make this a beautiful little hike. Just be careful when you cross the railroad tracks.
It is a nery nice trail, a little challenging if you are not in good shape, but fun.
It was a great trail. My 3 and 4 year old were able to do 85% of there own walking. It has a awesome waterfall at the end that the kids loved to play in. If you climb to the top of it you will see a natural spring. All in all it was a good trail. We saw about 20 people while hiking in and out.
