Absolutely beautiful. My first time coming here and loved it. Nice and shaded and if you get too hot you can cool off near the entrance to the cave. Cave and visitors center are currently closed due to COVID-19. only portapottys are available.

Some steep little grades for little legs and ledges to be careful of but totally manageable for kids. Some amazingly large trees to see along the way. Some good views of the Green River.

This is a short walk through the woods that's mostly useful to kill time while you wait for your tour time of Mammoth Cave.

Great trail with beautiful overlooks of valleys and the green river. Keep your eyes open though cause there are not many trail signs or markers to make sure you are on the designated trail or if you switches to a different trail

We combined a couple of shorter loops into one longer hike and saw cave entrances and the Green River. The trail winds through a forested area with moderate ups and downs. Wildflowers were in bloom along the way.

Short and easy loop that passes the original Mammoth Cave entrance, another cave, and the river. Saw some deer along the way!

Not much to see at the cave entrance. I went by in a loop to Dixon Cave, Green River, and then back on River Styx which worked out great.

We walked the entire trail including the massive stairs at the beginning - end. It was strenuous in my opinion, if you start at the top picnic area then go to the Mammoth Cave entrance. Great views!

Nice uphill walk. Shortest route is starting from behind the visitors center. Downhill on pavement until reaching the entrance to Mammoth Cave, then uphill on a nice trail to Dixon Cave. Can only get a view from a two level deck overlook.
