We did an overnight on this trail in Dec and stayed at the bluffs back country site. The trail was very well marked and even though it intersected a few other trails we had no issues getting off path.. The first day we did roughly 9 miles on the longer side of the loop and to the campsite, day two we knew it was going to rain so did the shorter ~3 mile portion. I think the bluffs was the prettiest site to stay at and there was only one designated spot for a tent, but there was a patch of ground beside it that would have worked for a second or plenty of trees for hammock camping. The biggest downside to this one is that the horse traffic makes the trails completely a muddy mess even if it hadn't rained much prior. Even on trails that were marked hikers only folks still took horses on them in sections and they were pretty trashed both in terms of the mud and empty beer cans and fast food packages etc ( we picked up about half a trash bag full and took out with us )..
