This trail connects Koomer Ridge Trail with the Pinch-em-Tight section of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail. The trail leads from one ridge to the other, across the right fork of Chimney Top Creek.

Hiked this trail as a loop. Took Koomer Ridge to Buck Trail to Rough Trail and back to Koomer Ridge. I would rate this trail as moderate, with a few elevation changes that get your muscles burning. Buck Trail has some of the most beautiful creek views in RRG. There were quite a few signs up prohibiting camping in order to allow nature to do its thing. Would definitely recommend!

We hiked this trail as part of a 6.5 mile loop combined with a few others. Very challenging, and a great workout.

Great trail providing the perfect mix of vistas with a variety of terrain including uphill, downhill, and flat. Also there is a great stream here you will have to ford at the bottom of the valley. I've been hiking the gorge for over 10 yrs now and use this trail along with a section of the rough trail and pinch em tight trails to make a loop with the koomer ridge trail. My favorite overall loop by far to day hike in the park!
