Konza Prairie Kings Creek Trail Loop is a 4.7 mile loop that takes you through the timber lined banks of Kings creek before entering the rolling Flint Hills tall grass prairie. Much of this land was part of the Dewey Ranch. Now buffalo roam the prairie again. A trail guide is available at the trailhead that describes key points and geography of the Flint hills prairie. The trail is lined with limestone pea gravel or follows a service road that is either bare dirt or limestone gravel.

My favorite of the 3 loops! Wildflowers are amazing in the spring/early summer!

Beautiful trail with stunning views! Saw buffalo at a distance and a few turkey. The kids loved even at the challenging parts, which aren’t that bad. We will be returning soon!

Just walked this trail today and in some spots it was kind of hard for me and my son's but the views from the top were amazing.

Great Trail. Some of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen in Kansas. Just incredible. Near the end of the trail heading back to the trailhead there is a tree that is straight out of a Tim Burton movie. Dead with wicked branches stabbing into the sky. We stood in awe and looked at it for several minutes. Hike this trail and enjoy life!

Beautiful hike. Not too challenging and offers a lot of great views that Kansas has to offer. Trail was clearly marked and in good condition.

Decent hike. Well maintained trail. Autumn change of colors would be a nice time of year to hike it. Could be a decent hike for snow shoeing.

Worth seeing at the right time of year, can be beautiful in winter if it's not too windy

I've lived here almost my whole life and didn't know about this. Well maintained and great KS scenery. Bring bug spray though! Great for walks or jogs :-)

Great trails!

Deer, two turkeys, lizards, dikcissells, meadow larks, quail and many, many wildflowers. Temperatures started at 70 degrees at roughly 11:30 am on July 4th and reached mid 80's by finish. Great experience of Flint Hills.

We didn't time this hike very well and wound up spending most of the last couple miles walking into the glare of the early evening sun. We got to watch deer racing across the prairie, check out what remains of an old homestead, and admire the prairie views.

Nice trail, easy most of the time but has an initial hill that got me a bit winded. Lotta wind which made it quite chilly, just be prepared and it's a good hike.

Enjoyed the beauty of the rolling hills. Prairies are a differant geology, but interesting. Vast views. You get a snapshot of what it must of been like to cross the plains. Great trail guide to highlight the ecology of prairies.
