Getting There

This park has tons of hiking trails that are quite overgrown in places, but that's because they're not especially well-traveled. There are tons of different routes you can take to make your hike as long or as short as you'd like.

The main trailhead is just behind the shelter at Dad Perry Park North. The parking lot is off Harvard.

The entrance to the parking lot is off of Harvard Road, just east of the roundabout at Monterey Way.

Nice park, but not a great trail. This would be an excellent place to take a leisurely walk and explore the trails. *This* trail is fairly awful. Several of the turns appear to be places where the mapper just barreled through brush. I needed my phone out constantly to see if I had missed a turn or junction somewhere. Some others have commented on the southwest, smaller loop. I think the key to accessing it is to get up on the sidewalk. There doesn't seem to be direct access from the park trail.

Short aimless trail. Decent enough but hardly any actual trail and there were trees.

Nice little fall to early spring hike. It’s short and unmarked but has lots of nice little offshoots to explore. Thats a good thing because to make it more than a 15 minute hike you really need to take some side trials and even so will likely repeat sections. I hiked for 35 minutes and enjoyed myself. Could see running this trail at some point. I could see this not being a good late spring or summer hike due to not being maintained, but beautiful in fall/winter. There are better trials in the area but if it’s close by and you’re looking for a quick environmental therapy sesh, this does the job.

The way to the smaller loop is over grown and indistinguishable. The large loops street access is so muddy I just turned around. This is a nice park in the middle of the city, but Clinton and Perry lakes are worth the ten minute drive from lfk.

Good trail. Never knew it existed. Nice and wide. I don’t know if the map on this site is entirely accurate. It didn’t appear to loop around. And there are no maps on the trail itself.
