Sanders Mound Trail is a 1.2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Lawrence, Kansas that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is best used from January until February. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
A rocky trail with great views. I ended up really relying on the app for the map because I'm directionally challenged, so I hiked much longer than expected. Watching your step is a must.
It was a beautiful trail through the woods and by the lake. Not too strenuous. I loved the scenery and nice breeze.
Nice trail after the side walk.Up hill to a bench by the lake.
I enjoyed this trail but it is still SO MUDDY. Go on a Monday or Tuesday so you can Sit and enjoy the view. the mud will only get worse because it rains tomorrow :(. I will do this one again!!
