Fun trail... very rocky. Only 3 stars because there were an excessive amount of bugs - mosquitoes, gnats, you name it. Also, definitely check yourself for ticks. We were covered in tiny (size of a freckle ) ticks. Kids handled this trail easily however, because of the ticks and bugs we probably won’t do it again. Also, not a very well marked trail... had to look at the app to figure out a way to go.

Nice flat loop trail, not marked on maps at trailhead. The log over a creek is a challenge, but you can walk back about 50 yards and cross where the water is very shallow. Overall a nice easy hike in these quarantined times.

I would recommend this trail to anybody who would like to be walking their bike as much is riding it. Very technical with boulders and roots 12 to 18 inches tall.

Long trail through the woods and well marked. Blue trail was underwater and we weren't brave enough to cross on the log.

One of my favorite trails in Lawrence to feel like I am back in Denver.

Nice trail. Winter foliage provided many lake views. We did the Lake Henry loop with three kids ages 7-11. No problems.

Sections of the inner loop (Blue trail) are flooded out, but the outer section (White trail) were simply lovely. Saw at least a dozen deer and a copperhead! Muddy and rocky in spots, with one section blocked by a large down tree, but otherwise well-maintained, and a great afternoon hike. Good trail for dogs, too!

Trails are still flooded. Yellow (sanders mound) is open. White is partially open. Check my recording for where the trail is flooded and where to begin to avoid flooding.

First time hiking this trail, I was definitely surprised by how enjoyable it was! Rocky in places, saw a mountain biker, but that was the only other person on the trail. 2-3 places you have to cross the creek, so if you aren’t great at rock hopping, prepare to get splashed!

Super easy. Lots of shade, but can be muddy.

It was a beautiful run in the snow. Heads up the streams are not all frozen so there is some open water to navigate.

Nice trails but park rangers were not helpful knowing about where the trails took off from. Despite bug spray with deet I was covered in bites the next day, suspect oakmites. Would not go back til hard frost.

This was a great place to visit. The map they gave me confused the heck out of me towards the end. Wish they had better landmarks on the trail map to identify where you really were. I got lost and was either on the white or blue trails. I don’t know. Lol I had to put the map down and try to figure out where I was. It didn’t help much with the one they gave me. But it was ok with that part. Really enjoyed my day! Would definitely recommend it. I will come back someday!!
