This trail was super clean and pretty easy. We checked in at the welcome center, as signs instructed, and were given a run down of the trails. You begin with a sign titled Lyle’s loop. This specific one had all different kinds of terrain and took us about 50 minutes just walking at a steady pace. We wanted to do more after completing this one however, and ended up going the opposite direction to find the abandoned cemetery factory... but went the wrong way at a fork ha, but it was okay! We enjoyed our second hike even more than the first. It was definitely more challenging with ups and downs and gave us what we wanted! We drove out from Wichita for a day hike, definitely worth the drive!

Didnt like the short loop as much as the long loop, we did them both though.

This is a great trail for Kansas. Mostly shaded during spring/summer but with some sunny areas as well. Lots of up and down and more rock formations than I'm used to seeing in Kansas. It is well maintained so not too much brush, able to do it in shorts. Worth the hour drive from Wichita area.
