Trails and scenery that dreams are made of, beautiful scenery that have bits for everyone. Canopy covered groomed dirt trails with spectacular views of the Winnebago River directly connected to exposed gravel trails surrounded by natural prairie grasses and quarry style rock formations. I only hiked the first two trails of the 11 overall Lime Creek Trails, so I will most definitely be visiting again to experience more of what Mason City has to offer! 8.8 miles of trails in Lime Creek Nature Center and 10.3 miles when you add the Winnebago trail that walks you right into town! I have a lot more hiking to do!

Grew up in Mason City so I spent many summer days on these trails. Even as I got older it was still a place for hanging out and getting into shenanigans. There are some very beautiful views along the river and bluffs. Definitely check out the ruins to the mill.
