It was a fantastic fall afternoon. Anytime of year his great here. This trial is close to my house and I wanted to try out the new app.
Took my two dogs on leash on this section of the trail that’s passed the campgrounds, caves and other sections. Some Forest, a small pond with a pier, open grassland area with mowed trails, very beautiful. Lots of path ways to intersect and make the hike original.
Such a gorgeous trail! I did Pine Trail and Prairie Trail! I don’t know why it made me select the Loop. I’m posting photos and updates about trails on my Instagram jackiefetteriowa!
Wapsipinicon State Park ...beautiful late fall day hike in early December began with Overlook Trail onto Waterline Trail. Went on to see waterfall n cave on Horse Thief trail which is a neat lil area with much character. Dutch Creek trail led me to my favorite Pine Trail. This is a beautifully groomed ridge trail thru thick forest. Next was Pond trail, Vista, Pipeline, Prairie 2 and River trails (lunch) then back along the Wapsipinicon river to the boat ramp where I began. Trails range from easy to hard ....pick up a map for better exploring. Challenging and rewarding for me
Wapsipinicon State Park has a wonderful variety of trails ranging from woods to prairie. The Pine Trail is my favorite! It's a park that calls you back .....so much to explore. The fall colors are grand and they stay longer along the river. There is also a wonderful play area for the children and a golf coarse for the older kids
Not a bad grassy trail. The perimeter trail has changed at the start. The fall colors look great as the trees were changing.
