Kewash Nature Trail is a 13.9 mile point-to-point trail located near Washington, Iowa. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and road biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Chipped rock trail for birding (10 bluebirds in one ride) deer, and other wildlife (fox raccoon, geese depending on the season) biking between Keota and Washington, IA. It used to be an old railroad so the grade is mild. It has an old railroad bridge over a creek, closer to Washington it is more trees, the last mile is paved. Off street parking avail at 499 North Ave D Washington, IA 52353. Trail is paved in this area.
